Introduction

If you're travelling, working or studying off-campus and require access to restricted resources, such as mapped drives or SPSS, Queen's requires you to install and run the FortiClient VPN software.

Eligibility

Students, faculty, and staff with an active Queen's NetID and password can use FortiClient VPN.

Getting Started

To use FortiClient VPN, users must download and install the FortiClient VPN software. 

Notes:

Windows and macOS

Eligible users can download FortiClient VPN software for supported versions of Windows and macOS from the Queen’s Software Centre. For installation and configuration instructions refer to Installing FortiClient VPN software on Windows and macOS Devices and Connecting to Campus VPN using FortiClient on Windows and macOS.  

Linux

Please note that IT Services does not currently provide support for Linux.

Terminating the Service

Users can delete the application at any time. Otherwise, they will lose access to this service upon leaving Queen’s.
